Please note that this donations/Grants are strictly administered by the UNO. you are by all means hereby advised to keep this whole information confidential until you have been able to collect your donation, as there have been many cases of double and unqualified claim, due to beneficiaries informing third parties about his/her donation.

Now note these sentences and paragraphs in the email, because this is where the 419 magic is. His apparent concerns for the “fortunate” recipient, is he really concerned? Of course not, it’s just part of the ploy.

He goes on to advice you who to contact and the information you will receive and carefully explain the important of anonymity required. For a vulnerable and feeble pensioner this is a proof of legitimacy, after all, most of their club card or mail-order Company send them letters like this one. But the real reason behind this is to prevent you from alerting anyone who knows better.

The truth is that people should understand that you can only win in a competition you entered, in fact we are yet to hear or see anyone anywhere who has ever received US$2,000,000.00 just because he or she has email address. As for you high street shop, forget it, if it’s possible for them to clean up your bank account, they will. People should advice their aged relatives and parents how important it to alert a trustworthy relative when they come in contact with such generosity, we celebrate lottery bounty with our loved ones and friends, I mean those lucky enough to win.
