Carnival de Cuba London Festival is back to London for 2008 with a huge showcase of live music, dance, workshops and more on to Southwark Park
along Jamaica Road. The theme for Carnival de Cuba 2008 “Out of Africa” celebrates Cuba's roots in Africa. The Park was alive with Latin spirit in Carnival de Cuba, buzzing
with vibrancy, energy and colour. The Carnival retunes with a big bang. For the

two days event, organiser’s recons that there must have been about 50,000 people who enjoyed
the best music and dance from Cuba for the two days events. Salsa/ Conga music bands was on display as well as “hip hop” Cuban style and also food, drink, and kid's
events.

Southwark Park literary takes on the atmosphere of a Havana street party, with music from La Charanga Habanera and other bands, dance shows and workshops, kids' activities,
a funfair and a conga procession. Other attractions include Cuba/Latinos street market, Cuban and African street art work.
