Defending champions Egypt won a record sixth Africa Cup of Nations with a
well-deserved victory over Cameroon on Sunday in Accra.
Egypt’s Pharaohs set a new continental record with a sixth African Cup of Nations victory against Cameroon. Although
the final did not see as many goals as expected both teams ended the tournament with a beautiful display of quality
football and technical skill.
The Pharaohs triumph is made even better for the fact that almost all their players and coach is all home based
footballer. Most of the so called big teams with a squad largely consisting of European-based players were more fancied
at the beginning of the tournament.
